B&W Zeppelin
B&W, a British audio and AV company – Bowers & Wilkins, have made it official that they will return to CES this year. They have been MIA from CES for 15 years now. Here’s what Evert Huizing, B&W Executive VP of Business Development, had to say about their return:

“We are thrilled to be back on the floor and demonstrate our dedication to true sound, audio is a fundamental component in experiencing great entertainment, whether in the home or in the car. With a lot of new categories emerging, we are thrilled to show our latest new ventures at this years’s CES.”

Basically, B&W will have on display four different “themes” as they call it. The first one being called Bowers & Wilkins Automotive. As you may or may not know, B&W is partnered up with Jaguar, so as you can imagine they will have on display some of the great audio equipment they have planned for the Jaguar cars. They will have on display the Jaguar XF sedan, which will be demonstrating B&W’s premium audio system, which they have spent 3 years creating. This is sure to attract a lot of visitors because of the very nice car and the very nice audio system. Both car and audio lovers will show up to see it.

Secondly, we have the Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin. Created with “world leading technologies” and finished in stylish steel is the Zeppelin which is an audio system specifically designed for the iPod. Additionally, it won the highly revered Consumer Electronics Association’s Best of Innovations 2008 Design and Engineering Award. Again, this should also attract a lot of iPod users.

Thirdly, we have the Bowers & Wilkins Liberty. This is the new wireless 5.1 channel surround sound entertainment system. Which features excellent audio and wireless technologies. Also, a dedicated multifunction centerpiece component.

Finally, is the Bowers & Wilkins Society of Sound. This was created as a social media platform for the the consumers of B&W to engage with them often. This system has also sparked interest with the MIT Media Lab and Peter Gabriel.

Be sure to check out the B&W CES booth for these and other products as well as to witness their return to CES.
