Vizio continues with their busy CES announcements with two additions to the intriguingly named “Black Tie” range of LCD HDTV’s. The SV42LF 42-inch LCD and SV47LF 47-inch, both have 4 HDMI connections, full 1080p resolution, 120Hz processing and a side access HD game port with HDMI.

Te real differentiator though is the MEMC (Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation) that they both feature, which is a “breakthrough” in video processing that eliminates motion blur.

“Using the latest panel technology, 120 frames per second (fps) is generated from regular 50/60Hz broadcast content.”

The range will be getting a new look as well with a new sleek industrial design frame incorporating a brushed aluminum accent below the bottom of a thin, piano black bezel. “When viewed with advanced video processing of 120Hz with MEMC and 6500:1 contrast ratio, the Full 1920×1080 – 1080p resolution allows for exceptionally deep, rich blacks and extraordinarily brilliant colors.” All Black Tie models include a standard/HDTV/QAM combination tuner, RF input and are compatible with 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 480p and 480i input sources and a detachable base to accommodate on-wall mounting.

The new SV42LF and SV47LF will begin shipping in July 2008 with estimated selling prices of $1499 and $1899 respectively.
