Shogo Digital Photo Frame

With so many digital photo frames displayed at CES 2008, the biggest comparison-shopping floor in the realm of consumer electronics, it is very hard to stand out from the crowd.

RealEase’s Shogo 8-inch digital photo frame cuts through the clutter for it is the first in the world to combine touch screen capability and Wi-Fi connectivity. Its 1GB internal memory is enough to last a lifetime since it can store up to 25,000 photos. The entry level version has 512MB storage capacity and is available in white.

Since it has a Wi-Fi connection, it also allows direct transfer of other digital contents including data files, RSS feeds, weather forecast, Internet radio and music files. For those who want to share and receive photos even without a computer, they should first register to myshogo.com, an online portal seamlessly integrated with popular photo-sharing sites such as Flickr and Picasa, and uses the Shogo Friend function.

Available in major retail stores in the U.S. starting spring 2008 for $300. Other key features include:

  • Integrated battery for cordless operation
  • Integrated memory card reader: SD/MS/MMC/xD/SDHC
  • Auto rotate adjusts photos to portrait or landscape mode
  • RF remote control
  • WiFi 802.11 B/G / Ethernet / USB 1.1 and mini USB
