With an eye to the future, JVC is working on gesture commands allowing you to control devices without a remote. LED backlight LCD is impressive for JVC as well.
Bluetooth headphone, W700BT, features a iPod attachment.
In GPS, the NX7000 will have a 7″ display and custom features like split view, lane guides and speed limit info. In addition to POI searches, it can search by phone number. The UI looks nice. It features a proximity sensor that respondes to a swipe of your hand near the unit. Coming in May.
In std definition camcorders, JVC will launch a 7mp 3072×2304, a 30gb HD, the 730 and will be available next month.
Coming in March in four models.
The other unique product is the “worlds thinnest LCD TV”. 1.5″ frame depth, max of 2 7/8″. Thin bezel of less than 1″. Avail in 42 and 46″ early this summer.
In camcorders, JFC is making them 20% smaller than previous iterations. Everio MG330 is the world’s smallest HDD Camcorder. Now in colors:blue, silver, red and black. They’ve added a touch bar on the side of the screen for navigation. HDD and micro SD for storage will help the 30GB and 60 GB models. Some models will come with a dock. We’ll see Konica/Minolta lenses.
Moving to display: they’ve got 2 unique products:
- TeleDock. Features an iPod drop down dock on the front of the TV. As soon as the iPod as docked, an on-screen menu will appear. Watch video from iPod, watch tv while listening to music from the iPod. TV’s special remote helps facilitate this usability. Digital Up Conversion is used or you can select a mini mode for better looking images.
Hard drive camcorders and more iPod docks. Now Karl Bearnarth, Senior VP of Marketing is going to highlight the new products.
TH-F3, 4.1 channel system for Front Surround speakers feature a 2 wire set up. 1080- Up conversion. NX-PN7 will be a dual dock allowing music to flow from either; remote included. Coming this May it will ship with a remote control.
Here we go, Craig Geiger JVC’s Exec. VP takes the stage. He states JVC will not aim to be the lowest price.
The Precision line is their new high end offering. HD1, HD100. They will launch the worlds thinnest, 1.5″ thick turner in LCD. They will launch Teledock line, LCD TVs with iPod dock.
