Hey my friend, its a scam… that 16 digit number has been reported as a 419 scam… dont bother phoning them, they'll just take ur airtime…
I also received this sms twice (I am with Cell C). I did not call the number as I suspected a scam.
When calling, you are charged about R30 per minute. ouch!
The sender shows "winner". Looks like from Bulgaria or Romania. This was probably sent from a fly-by-night service provider via a SA provider, which make is almost impossible to trace.
Ons can trace where it came from, but you will need a RSA court order to go to your phone service provider so they can reveal the information to you (which is hidden in these normal sms').
Anyone wants to persue?
