HD DVD’s pathetic response to the Netflix, Best Buy announcements

It almost seems like kicking someone when they are down, it appears like the HD DVD camp already acknowledge the lost the war and are just happy to settle for second place and take whatever they can get.

“We have long held the belief that HD DVD is the best format for consumers based on quality and value, and with more than 1 million HD DVD players on the market, it’s unfortunate to see Netflix make the decision to only stock Blu-ray titles going forward. While the Best Buy announcement says they will recommend Blu-ray, at least they will continue to carry HD DVD and offer consumers a choice at retail.”

It does not seem like there is much left to do, except wait for the official declaration of the winner. It seems safe to say the format war has come to an end.
