Have you heard that Sprint is now offering enhanced mobile Web browsing on all Web-enabled Sprint phones? Sprint is now the first U.S. carrier to do so with the addition of the OpenWeb solution from Openwave Systems, Inc. This is a major breakthrough for users that want to surf the Web on their mobile phones.

Unless you own an iPhone I bet you do not really enjoy surfing the Web on your cell phone. The speed is not the issue – it’s the convoluted formats, the endless scrolling and the chore of navigating in general.

So you may be wondering how much better the enhanced mobile browsing could be. Well, according to Sprint and Openwave anyone surfing the Web on their PDA/Smartphone cell phones will enjoy seeing websites just as they would on their home PCs. Most any website visited will look normal only smaller. Even if the site has not been optimized for mobile access, Openwave OpenWeb will adapt the site layout to fit a mobile phone screen while also improving the speed at which data can be accessed from the website.

It gets better – the user does not need to do anything except sign up with Sprint or continue to be a Sprint customer.
