Motorola Mobile TV DHO2

A touch screen user interface with intuitive click, drag and scroll icon-based menus, HSDPA/GPRS and back channel support are just some of the features of the newly announced Motorola Mobile TV DH02. Motorola is touting the new mobile device as a multi-functioning personalized TV, multimedia entertainment on the go and navigation all packed into one handy device.

“Today’s consumers want to view TV at their convenience on devices that satisfy the entertainment experience with an easy to use interface – and Motorola is delivering on this personalized mobile video and media experience with our end-to end portfolio of mobile TV/Video solutions,” said Navin Mehta, vice president, Mobile TV and Applications Services, Motorola.

Motorola’s new Mobile TV is aiming to give consumers a rich media experience through seamless mobile TV/Video solution. It also aims to provide broadcasters, content owners and mobile network operators a revenue generating opportunities. Broadcasters would have greater reach for advertisers, while mobile network operators will have interactive service capabilities that would increase consumer revenue and loyalty. As for the consumers, nothing beats a high-resolution, fast streaming movie or video viewing even when on the go.

Other features of the this handy and pocketable device include; Live DVB-H TV with PVR capabilities, advanced navigation capabilities with GPS and Tele Atlas map, automatic channel scan and listing, high quality digital video at 25fps, five minute memory buffer, landscape and portrait auto-flip for ease of viewing the display.

Release date and pricing for the Motorola Mobile TV DH02 have not yet announced as the device is awaiting formal launch during the CTIA Wireless 2008.
