Sprint lays out Windows Mobile 6.1 upgrade plans

Now that Windows Mobile 6.1 is officially out, its time we start finding out when to expect current 6.0 devices to get an upgrade. Sprint has plans to upgrade all of their current Windows Mobile 6.0 smartphones during the “summer of 2008.” The current Windows Mobile 6.0 lineup include the Samsung Ace, Motorola Moto Q9c as well as the HTC Touch and Mogul. In addition to the current devices receiving updates, smartphones will begin to ship with Windows Mobile 6.1 pre-installed during the “second half of 2008,” which will include a “new Palm Treo.”
