Samsung and Sprint’s Instinct has received quite a number of post-event awards during the CTIA Wireless 2008. Aside from grabbing the “Best in Show”, Samsung’s Instinct also got Laptop Magazine’s “Most Innovative Product at CTIA Wireless 2008” award, and CNET’s “Best Cell Phone” award.
The “Best in Show” awardee was chosen by the CTIA event participants themselves through text messaging. While the “Most Innovative Product” award was given by Laptop magazine based on what they feel would best “enrich the mobile lifestyle of business users and consumers.” The winner of this award was chosen by the editors of the Laptop magazine. The Samsung Instinct also bagged CNET’s “Best Cell Phone” award, which was taken by the Samsung and Sprint Upstage last year. CNET cited the Instinct’s full touchscreen features and attractive, user friendly interface” as the main factors that led them to give the award to Instinct.
If you are curious to find out if the Samsung Instinct deserves all the accolades it received during the CTIA Wireless 2008, you will have to wait until June, as Sprint makes the handset available in its lineup. Pricing is not yet announced, but with a mobile phone such as the Instinct, it might cost a little bit higher than your ordinary Samsung mobile phones.
