Considering that everyone seems to be on an eco-trip since that An Inconvenient Truth was released, it’s nice to know that someone in the computer design world is also paying attention.
MSI, for example, has designed a great new eco-friendly motherboard known as the Wind Board.
It has a passive cooling system, which means that there is no need for those fans that you see on most motherboards. As you might have guessed, that means a lot less noise, like zero decibels worth. So not only is it ecologically sound, it is also less noisy. Who would have thought that the eco-friendly option could be the better one?
The Wind Board also uses less power, an estimated 80% less compared to a normal 250W desktop computer after being on for 24 hours. It will also consume less energy when in idle mode, about 10% of what a general desktop computer uses.
Other features include 533MHz FSB compatibility, DDR2-667 memory of up to 2GB, as well as an Intel 945GC chipset.

Al Gore – now there's a good joke. I do like the board as it will save you a bit of money on your electric bill. Great for a home office, or for your kids computer. Al Gore wouldn't know a motherboard from mother earth.
I have seriously read this article, very good! I hope you can also pay a return vist to my website: http://www.antarcticfan.com
