Unlocked and unbranded phones always come with a little worry, generally you will experience an issue or two, and when you are paying over $500, or more specifically $549 in the case of the Palm Treo Pro there is a decent amount of reason for caution.

The good news here is that for AT&T customers in the US, you can now grab a Treo Pro without worry because it has been added to the AT&T Specialty Vertical Device program. For those unfamiliar with that program, it is basically for handsets that AT&T has certified for their network, but the catch is that those handsets are not subsidized in anyway. Bottom line, you will still be paying the same $549, but at least you know the 3G and other features will all work properly.
