There are times when a normal state-of-the-art computer just won’t cut it. Sure, the inside is amazingly fast, but usually the rigs themselves tend to be rather standard in design, especially when built at home rather than a factory. Wouldn’t it be nice if the computer had something to set it apart from every other top-of-the-line machine out there? How about a touch screen on the rig and concierge service?
Okay, the concierge service might be a bit overkill, but it is still cool to have someone come in and set up your machine and do maintenance on it a few months later for you like BFG Tech is offering with its Phobos machines. The touch screen is possibly the coolest part, though.
It allows you to easily access system information, or media files so you can choose what songs to play from the rig rather than having to use your mouse. The touchscreen also has an option to go into a silent mode for when your watching a movie or anything else that you won’t want the system noise interfering with. Or you can use it to switch to “Max mode” to get the full performance out of the system for gaming or other intense uses.
Looking at the standard configuration specs for the Phobos Elite, running at full performance would be enough to make any gamer fall in love with the machine. It’s powered by Intel’s new Core i7 965 Extreme Edition processor running at 3.2GHz, and two BFG NVIDIA Geforce GTX 200 Series GPUs. Both are cooled by a maintenance-free liquid cooling system, so you easily get the full potential out of them. There’s also 6GB of 1600MHz RAM, four 300GB Western Digital Velociraptor hard drives and a 7.1 sound card. It should make for a great machine for running games or watching movies. To watch the movies there’s a slot loading Blu-ray Super Multi Optical Drive so there’s no excuse to the most out of the system.
There isn’t any pricing yet, but it should be worth the price of admission for anyone serious about using a computer as a home theater option or any gamer who isn’t simply content with playing WoW rather than Crysis.

Awesome PC. Definitely the PC i need for my Graphics Art class.
