Things seem to be wrapping up, time to move out and get in line for the next press conference.
They have the Cell TV on display at the Toshiba booth, sounds like we will have to check that out.

Cell TV will also be able to record six HD channels simultaneously.
Also promising something beyond Regza, it is Cell TV. Described as being in a category of its own and being the most advanced. It is a set top box along with an LCD panel, and offer state of the art picture quality. It will be marketed in 2009.
The SV670 will be available in either 46 or 55-inches
It will have LED Backlight with Local Dimming.

Up next is the SV670 series with a “stunning infinity flush front design.”
These features are ib tge ZV650 lineup.
The new lineup will also include an Expert Mode to better fine tune your settings. They will also be ready to play content without a separate player. They will have an SD card slot and USB port to make it easy to use a SD card from your digital camera without a separate cable or an external USB hard drive with your content already stored.

They are also working on inconsistent volume levels. They have incorporated Dolby Volume, they are the first to incorporate this into a TV. It will keep the original dynamics and not distort the sound quality.
Toshiba will also have the XV645 series with a 40, 46 & 52-inch.
Regza will include Auto View to auto-adjust to your viewing environment. They will also have instaport to enable faster HDMI switching. It will bring the wait time from almost 5-7 seconds to near instant.

2k x 4k is truely crazy. It blows 1080p out of the water! I can’t wait to see this.
That new high resolution comes from Resolution + technology.
The future of very large screen is actually a 4K x 2K panel or 3,820 x 2,160
The AV600 will include a 19 and 22-inch, the AV502 will include a 26, 32 & 37-inch and the RV525 will include a 40 & 46-inch.

Key trend for 2009
1. Gradiation is the new black
2. 240 is the new 120
3. Some will say you cannot be too thin
4. There’s no real volume over ,500
Taking about LCD vs. Plasma, showing off how they predicted the correct LCD T forecast for 2008, which was 23 million. Sounds a little like bragging to me.

Scott Ramirez, the VP of Marketing for the TV Group is taking the stage. Speaking a little about why the economy from 2008 has changed the rules. They intent to offer a “Toshiba LCD TV for everyone.”

More will be added as they come available in the future. With Windows Media Center users will be able to download and store content. The second half of 2009 will bring Regza LCD TV’s, Stand Alone Network Players and LCD/DVD Combo devices.
Toshiba will be launching products partnering with Intel, Yahoo and Windows Media Center. They will be allowing for downloading and streaming content. Content will come from MySpace, CinemaNow, CBS and more.
2009 will mark the year of the most attractive TV Combo design from Toshiba, featuring sleek lines. Of course, “design is just part of the story” They will also offer be expanding their lineup to include a new 26-inch model.
And Mr. Yoshi Uchiyama takes the stage…reviewing some success from 2008. The LCD TV category remains strong.

Here comes the President and CEO Mr. Akio Ozaka. Doing a brief recap of history, a heritage of innovation.
Toshiba will focus on what is most important to consumers, such as picture quality.
Of course, that video focused on the product placement name of Toshiba.
A video showing New Years Eve in Times Square begins the event.
I also see a nice mention about how Toshiba will be taking a “quantum leap with its highly-acclaimed REGZA line.” Its time to begin, let see what they give us…
Checking out the press kit, it looks like we are going to be hearing about an LCD TV DVD combo, Network Devices and a Network Player.
