Cyberlink announces new TrueTheater technologies at CES 2009

Features include TrueTheater HD, an enhancement that will eliminate the problems usually found with standard definition content. It will have better detail and eliminate the jagged edges typically found on standard definition videos. CyberLink expects TrueTheater to vastly improve the video quality displayed on large screen and projector televisions.
For smoother playback, users will have access to TrueTheater Motion. This features makes on screen movements more natural and smoother scene changes. If you like to change the aspect ratio of your screen, then you can use TrueTheater Stretch. This attribute will work even if the original DVD does not support the selected format.
The TrueTheater Lighting will improve on the playback’s colors, brightness and contrast. The lighting feature senses dark and overexposed scenes and makes adjustments. The feature will have both automatic and manual settings to choose from.
Lastly, TrueTheater Sound will improve the playback’s audio quality. The element will automatically convert 2 channel audio to 8 channel audio. It also has the ability to imitate surround sound when played through speakers or headphones.
