Moxi’s multi-room DVR solution: The Moxi Mate

Earlier today, Digeo introduced the Moxi HD DVR. They also introduced a product that will be released later this year called the Moxi Mate which you can see atop the actual Moxi HD DVR. The Moxi Mate is a simple concept.

You buy a Moxi HD DVR and hook it up to your home network. You take the smaller, fanless, Moxi Mate and place it in another room. The Moxi Mate lets you watch you recordings without having to pay for a second DVR or having extra monthly fees.

It’s a good idea for Moxi to put together a series of products that allows the user to watch their recordings everywhere in their house. Moxi said they wanted to differentiate itself by doing the little things that other DVRs just don’t do.

The only thing they would say about the price? It’s cheaper than the Moxi HD DVR (that costs $799).
