Despite a promise that the beta of Windows 7 was going to be publicly available this afternoon, a quick check of the website shows that it still is not available. However, according to a recent post on The Windows Team Blog, it appears that they delayed the release in order to add some additional infrastructure. It seems that would have been something they would have had in place before they announced the availability in the first place. Its a shame they did not just decide to go with Bittorent, sounds like it would have been a better option. Oh well, in the meantime, if you were going crazy trying to get that download, you can hold off and relax for a while.
