Android G2 spy shots – where is the rest of it?

These shots are purportedly the G2 Android phone from HTC. This leak comes from Gizmodo and matches up the to supposed leak of the entire HTC line we saw earlier this month. If accurate, the big news here is losing the keyboard that the G1 relied upon allowing this phone to be much thinner looking.

Personally, I find it to be the least attractive of HTC designs. The phone extends too far from the screen at a time when many phones are not much more than a big gorgeous screen. HTC still manages to make this phone look old, much like the G1, but that’s just my opinion. With current lackluster sales and the buzz on Android not moving the needle, Google, HTC, and T-Mobile are going to have to work some marketing magic here.

Word is we’ll see this new variation in the not too distant future as Gizmodo says it will be stateside in the spring. We’ll know soon enough if this true.
