Western Digital has announced their newest and largest drive from their Caviar Green family. And at a whopping 2 TB, it will take a while to fill this one up.
The Western Digital Caviar Green hard drives use 500GB platters. It is a standard 3.5 inches in size and offers a 32MB buffer. It comes in USB, eSATA, Firewire, and internal configurations to meet a variety of needs.
Western Digital put in plenty of features to lower power usage, thus the “green” in the name. The drive will cost $299. Here’s hoping this drive will last you for a while.
