Asus unveils the WiMAX capable Eee PC 1000HG, demos the Windows 7-running T91, 1003HA

Asus continues to show off new models in the ever expanding Eee PC lineup, and this latest makes some nice additions feature-wise. The newest model to get shown off is the Eee PC 1000HG and it will feature support for IEEE 802.16e, WAVE2 and Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n in the 2.4GHz~2.7GHz and 5.1GHz~5.8GHz bands. Although I am not entirely sold on the inclusion of 3G or WiMAX support, I still think they make for a nice option, sadly though, Asus did not make any mention of just when we can expect to see the 1000HG become available, nor how much it will retail for. This one does not seem like it will come in at a rock bottom price.

Additionally, Asus also took some time to show off the 1003HA and T91, both of which are 3.5G-equipped and running the latest Windows 7 Beta. As for the 1003HA, this model will offer a 10-inch display and 160GB hard drive. The T91 features a rotatable touchscreen display. Similar to the 1000HG, neither of these other two models have any announced release date.
