Just before Apple launched the current line of MacBooks, there was a lot of speculation as to what a glass trackpad could bring to the machines. There were mock images of MacBooks with a second screen rather than a trackpad, with the second screen harboring the dock. Those rumors have obviously proven to be false, but the idea is still alive, just not on a MacBook.
Sharp’s new netbook, Mebius PC-NJ70A, has just that idea behind it. Rather than a trackpad it holds an 854 x 480 LCD display on the palm rest. The screen can act as any number of widgets including an equalizer that you can adjust with fingers, a calculator and a notepad. There are most likely other widgets available for the smaller screen as well. The touchscreen also has a built in ambient light detector, and will adjust its brightness according to how much bright the surrounding area is.
The small touch screen, while making the otherwise standard netbook quite expensive at an estimated $817 USD, is a great step forward. Netbook screens, even at 10 inches tend to be far too small for some people, and having an extra 4 inch screen will help greatly. Most of the widgets for the touch screen will most likely be small applications that are just a pain to have to open in Windows anyway. Rather than searching for the calculator app, it’s right there on the touch screen, same with the notepad. So while it might not become standard any time soon, Sharp’s dual screened netbook is a great glimpse into where notebooks in general could be moving soon.
I know about this netbook it is very sleek and light but it very costly its feature are good but as compare to other notebook it is too costly
