Palm isn’t saying it is their new, sure-to-be-a-hit, can’t freaking miss, Pre. But come on. What else does Palm want to get in everyone’s hand to start blabbing about? And that is just what Palm is trying to do with their new Real Reviewers program you can sign up for now for free.
We’re looking for a few “Real Reviewers” to share their opinions about Palm phones across the blogosphere, social networks and beyond.
Besides a swanky new phone, Palm is throwing in the data service (I suspect voice service too, but it isn’t clear) for six months for those that make the cut into their program. Palm says they are supplying selected applicants with current model phones. So a free phone you can run the bill up with, a data service you can download what ever you choose (Palm’s name is on the bill), could it be too good to be true?
The catch
You knew there had to be something, but this isn’t too big a gotcha. You simply have to be you. And by that they mean you need to tell everyone what you think of the phone. Tell your neighbors, neighbor, their dog and cats. The crazy lady down the street. Maybe Palm just wants you to blab about it on Facebook, Twitter, and all those other places people ask you about your phone (like Panera).
So apply already
The application is pretty simple and asks some basic questions about yourself. Things like describe a typical day and describe yourself in one word. Nothing too personal, but stuff that makes me glad I am not Palm choosing.
Need a ditch phone? Need a new phone number to give to the ladies or guys (depending on the aisle you shop in)? Just want to play with someone else’s phone? Follow the link and apply, who knows?
