Palm LogoPalm has just announced today that they will be accepting submissions via email for applications to be a part of their Palm App Catalog. They are starting the program in beta as a way to test the experience for both developers and consumers that purchase the applications for their Palm devices.

Palm has set a few rough guidelines for submissions. They are looking for apps with an appealing design and written specifically for webOS. They need to have a good response time on Palm devices and not consume an excessive amount of power. The app must be complete and tested prior to submission.

So, how much can you make? Palm is allowing developers to set their own one time download fee and receive seventy percent of this amount minus any applicable taxes. The minimum amount you can charge is $0.99 while no max has been set. While in beta, sales are limited to users based in the United States and subscription based app charges are not being accepted. Find contact information to submit your apps on the Palm Developer Network blog.
