Good news for BlackBerry Bold users has recently come in the form of an AT&T update — they are now offering Visual Voicemail and it will come with no extra charges.
Now BlackBerry Bold users will be able to easily find and listen to the important voicemails without having to sit through a bunch of nonsense. Visual voicemail has become a feature that I cannot live without; of course, it has also made it much easier for me to ignore certain messages.
The update will bring your BlackBerry Bold up to version 4.6.0.508 and is coming over-the-air. As of now, it is in the process of rolling out to everyone. In other words, if it has not shown up for you just yet you should be seeing it sooner than later. Additionally, if you are feeling a little impatient you can always check for the update manually by going to Options –> Advanced Options –> Wireless Update.
In terms of what visual voicemail is going to offer to BlackBerry Bold user, some of the features include the ability to;
Review and delete messages from your Visual Voicemail or Messages inbox
Store up to 40 messages for 14 days in your inbox
Save important numbers to your contacts
Reply to messages via return call, SMS, email, or MMS
Share messages by forwarding via email or MMS
Save audio of messages to device memory or to memory card
