I have been reviewing the current ViewSonic netbook, the VNB102 and would say its a capable little machine. But of course, that capability comes by way of what we have come to accept as the sort of netbook standard of specs. But looking forward, ViewSonic is preparing to launch an updated mode, the ViewBook VNB105. And of course, ViewSonic had the ViewBook VNB105 on display here at CES and I was able to check it out a bit.
Now, not to take away from the current model, the VNB105 is much nicer looking. It is sporting a nicer (in my opinion) casing as well as a much much nicer keyboard. But in addition to the keyboard and overall design, the VNB105 is also going to see a little upgrade in performance which will come courtesy of the Intel Atom N450 processor. That and, it is going to run Windows 7 Starter.
Unfortunately, the VNB105 is not ready for release just yet, but in the meantime check out some images…
