Breaking: Google Threatens to Move Out Of China

Google

In a bold statement from their blog, Google has made a public announcement concerning their services and troubles in China, including the consideration of removing services all-together.

China is notorious for their hackers that try to take down the infrastructure of many top companies in the world. Google included. One well targeted attack against Google was enough for Google to just give up completely on China. Not only are they being attacked from them, but they can’t even display a lot of their content due to the censorship laws.

Google has said that,

“…over the next few weeks we will be discussing with the Chinese government the basis on which we could operate an unfiltered search engine within the law…”

If this compliance does not get through the Chinese government (which i doubt it will), Google will consider removing its services entirely from China. And who can blame them? They create bends in their search to abide by the censorship laws only to get attacked.

We have to consider what is at stake here for Google. A country of over a billion people is an enormous amount of users for them to lose, regardless of what percentage actually have internet. Google has even said that,

“The decision to review our business operations in China has been incredibly hard, and we know that it will have potentially far-reaching consequences.”

Hard is correct my friend.

  1. Fuck off Chinese idiot governemt! I hope you get shown who's boss!
It ain't you, I'll tell ya that much.

Google would have to be the dumbest company around to accept any more of China's shit, no matter what.

Especially when they are being hacked from China (and let's face it, because of the Chinese government).

Every computer company in the World should immediately stop doing business with China. That alone would force the government to 'shut the fuck up' once and for all.

An effort like that, would dictate to China (for a change) how/what they're gonna do from now on.

    I bet you money!

  2. I don't know. It could just be a publicity stunt or a way to put a little pressure on the Chinese to drop the hacking..
