Need a reading light for your Kindle? Check out the Kandle Any Kindle user that still prefers to read in the dark may want to check out a newly released accessory. Its called the Kandle, and is an LED light with a “WideLip” grip. Ok, in all fairness the Kandle could be used for any ebook reader, or regular book for that matter but the name was just begging for a Kindle reference. And now that is out of they way, we can get on to the post at hand.

The Kandle has two LED bulbs that are noted as being “lifetime” and has that “WideLip” grip which is said to be perfect for the Kindle, Sony Reader and other eBook readers because it will not block the screen.

So, in reality this is just a book light, but that said it looks to be a nice option to at least consider, plus it has a funny name. The Kandle can be purchased on Amazon, though its not an Amazon product and it is retailing for $24.95.

  1. I bought a kindle and the kandle light the end of sept. The kindle is great and occas at night I would read and use the kandle light. It is only 6 wks old and it died. I assumed that the batteries needed changing..NOT..both my husband and myself worked with the batteries and the kandle is dead..no longer working…for the $$$$ of the kandle seems it would last longer than 6 wks…and only occas got used so if you are asking my opinion as to buy one or not….NOT !!!

  2. I have spent some time and thought after purchasing a Kindle about which light is the best deal and I have been reviewing them and concluded that the best one can be found at http://www.kindlereadinglight.co.uk – it is practical and affordable with a robust gooseneck. The clip on is padded as to not scratch your Kindle and the light is capable of lasting 100,000 hours. 1 user noted that the batteries have lasted well over a month with everyday use. Comes in 3 colours, white, silver and black.
Would love to know your thoughts.
    Thanks
