EGadgetell Giveaway: Enter to win one of ten Slacker Radio Plus subscriptions Slacker Radio has been around for a while now, offering a great music streaming service online as well as for mobile devices including Android, BlackBerry, the iPhone and most recently webOS.

With Slacker you can choose to listen using a free account, or step up to a Radio Plus account for $4.99 a month. The free service is pretty decent overall. Of course it does have a some limitations, one of which is that you are only able to skip up to 6 songs per hour. The free service is also missing the song lyrics and comes with advertising. And while I can understand how some deal with the ads to save 5 bucks a month, here is your chance to win one of ten Radio Plus subscriptions for free and be able to go ad free and skip as many songs as you like.

Thanks to the fine folks at Slacker, we are able to give away two 1-year subscriptions and eight 3-month subscriptions.

And in an effort to keep this simple…all you need to do to enter is leave a comment below. That is it, just leave a comment below. The only catch here is that we need to be able to get in touch with you (just in case you win).

The contest is open as of this posting and will run through 11:59 AM EST on Monday February 15, 2010.

Good luck, and if you are not already listening, head on over to Slacker and check out what they have to offer.

And now for the fine print…

I've been enjoying the freebie version of Slacker lately, among other online radio offerings, ever since Pandora chose to charge people to listen to their ads. I'd been about to sign up with Pandora's year subscription when they instituted the fee for everyone listening past 40 hours, but I decided not to fund a company that wants to charge people even a minimal fee to be bombarded with advertising.

Slacker seems to be one of the best of what I've found since leaving Pandora, so I'd be very interested in experiencing the next tier of Slacker Radio's service should I become one of the lucky ten. Thanks for holding the contest!

I love Slacker Radio – I recently got my first smart phone the Android HTC Droid Eris. I immediately downloaded Pandora because that was the only internet radio service that I knew of. I realized quickly that Pandora wasn't the radio app for me – it ran slow, skipped, and often shut down. I searched on the internet for other radio applications and I found so many people recommending Slacker Radio – I signed up, downloaded the application and I've been addicted to it ever since!!

I hope I win one of the many subscriptions that you are giving away! I would love to have unlimited skips and the ability to not have to listen to commercials!

Looks like I'm one of the first ten to enter! Automatic win :D ??? I used to use Pandora, but had slow connections, skipped tracks, and poor performance on my Blackberry 9700. My phone definitely was not lacking in power, so I made the switch to Slacker and have not looked back. Sleek interface, great features, and its FAST. I love it, please give me the upgrade!!
