Palm begins running new ad, and it doesn't suck It seems as if Palm has reached a small turning point in terms of advertising, their latest commercial is not creepy nor does it make it seem like only soccer moms should be using their products. The commercial is still simple, and shows a woman walking down the street doing what webOS does best — handling multiple notifications across multiple apps. Plus as a small added bonus it has decent music and also makes it look like that woman is having fun. Now for Palm, lets take this little bit and run with it, because people are saying good things about this commercial, which seems to be a big change from some of the creepier ones that have come before.

  1. It's not bad, but it still misses the goal of a good product promotion, which is to turn that product into an object of desire. Apple is very good at it. These guys? Not so much. They aren't showing me enough phone. Every smart phone does what this ad depicts. Big deal. They need to make me want the phone–the object.
