It looks like the Wi-Fi only Barnes & Noble nook is beginning to come available as we speak. This of course if confirmed by the new product listing over on the Best Buy website. Granted the nook is still only available as a pre-order item, but the listing does confirm the pricing — $149.99.
As of now no shipping date is noted, but the listing does mention details such as Wi-Fi, 2GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot.
Plus, the regular nook features such as 6 inch eInk Vizplex display, 3.5 inch color touchscreen display, 3.5mm headphone jack, microUSB port and support for PDF, ePUBm JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, PDB and MP3 file support is further mentioned.
All in all, $149.99 for a Wi-Fi only nook sounds pretty nice. And speaking as someone that had a 3G capable Kindle and rarely used the 3G — I wouch be much more tempted to spend $149 on the Wi-Fi only model as compared to the $199.99 (as priced with Best Buy) 3G capable model.
