Biz Stone, co-founder of Twitter, who attended and spoke at the Aspen Ideas Festival has claimed that Twitter now supports 800 million search queries daily. Now after some quick calculation that would be 24 billion searches per month, more than both Bing and Yahoo! combined.
Twitter’s ability to display breaking news to the second is the primary reason why it is now becoming such an esteemed search engine and information source for people around the world. And they are definitely on the right track.
