Verizon may be getting ready to roll out a “Global Ready” 3G modem. The modem is MiFi-like in that its wireless and offers a connection by way of Wi-Fi. The device is called the FiveSpot and appears like it will be a match for those global phones in that it will have both CDMA and GSM capabilities. And given the name, one could assume that the FiveSpot will allow up to five wireless connections at a given time. Otherwise, its a pretty picture but we are still waiting to hear the important details — the pricing and release.
