Motorola Droid 2 leaked image

Ever since the Verizon Summer Catalog with the Motorola Droid 2 on the front cover was leaked online, the chatter surrounding the Droid successor has been building. For instance, just yesterday we saw some official looking images of the Motorola Droid 2. Now we have images from a packaging facility where I’m assuming the Motorola Droid 2 is being produced and housed for the time being. Since the device is currently being mass produced, it seems likely a release date is just around the corner. Of course, the latest rumor indicates an August 23 launch, and judging by the pictures we have seen as of late, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Motorola Droid 2 launched even earlier than that. It looks like the phone will ship with 8GB of onboard memory in the form of a microSD. In addition, pricing should be $199 on a two year contract and $599 off contract. I’m hoping the price is a little bit lower and that it will run Android 2.2 out of the box.
