Barnes & Noble have officially rolled out their eReader app for the Android platform. The app is called NOOK for Android and is available by way of the Android Market for devices running Android OS 1.6 or later. Oh, and its free to download and use.
The app seems to offer the features that you would expect to see in that you can read as well as browse and shop for ebooks from the Barnes & Noble eBookstore. The app also gives you access to any ebook in your personal Barnes & Noble library as well as keep those titles in sync across devices. Additionally, the NOOK for Android app also allows the user to take advantage of the Lend Me feature which is found on the hardware Nook.
