BlackBerry 9780 shown running OS 6 in video

Until now, the phone getting most of the OS 6 attention is the BlackBerry 9800. However, it looks like the BlackBerry 9780, also unannounced at this time, will run OS 6 as well. In the video below, the BlackBerry 9780 by RIM is running OS 6, but since the phone is a pre-release device, it is not running the final software version of OS 6. It’s worth noting this is the first QWERTY BlackBerry device we have seen OS 6 operate on. The 9780 has similar and hardware to that of the 9700, probably will operate on GSM network, and features the same battery as the Bold 9700. Since it runs OS 6, the device comes with 512MB of RAM. Hopefully we’ll hear more information about the BlackBerry 9780 at the RIM event, and who knows, maybe it will launch with the BlackBerry 9800 or shortly thereafter.
