The Audible app for Android has left beta and is now officially available in the Market. The app itself is free to download, however getting those audiobooks will come at a price — an Audible membership. That said, if you are into audiobooks and have an Android smartphone you likely will not care, or you will already have the Audible membership. The Audible for Android app is now at version 1.0 and is great. Well, at least the beta that I have been using for the past month or so was. I am just expecting the 1.0 version to be the same. Otherwise, the Audible for Android app allows for direct downloads to your phone and is supported on a wide variety of Android devices including some older and some newer. You can hit the link below to check out the full device compatibility list. Or otherwise, just grab your phone, fire up the Market and search for Audible.

Good grief, I'm an Audible member with an HTC Desire, but can I hell find this app in the market.

This is the beta version before release 1, but if you install it it *should* allow upgrade to release 1.,
Are you by any chance a UK audible user? I think the marketplace filters out UK users since this app doesn't officially support aubilble.co.uk…. you can still use your books, but you can't access the UK site to buy. So what? big deal! Aubible/Amazon get your act together!
@CTX : oh yes rememebr to make sure your phone will accept "Non-Marketplace" apps for installation!

CXT, iagree almost impossible to find and whe nyou do it wont work, cant see all the screen and so unable to download.
