Verizon offers up official R2-D2 Droid 2 image, confirms September 30th release

Verizon has posted an R2-D2 Droid 2 related image and at the same time confirmed the release date as September 30th. Granted, we have seen this same banner in another image, but the important difference here is that it has come by way of the official TwitPic account for Verizon (@VZWOffers). Bottom line, the R2-D2 edition of the Motorola Droid 2 is coming September 30th, and in the meantime you can learn more by visiting the @DroidLanding Twitter account or the www.droiddoes.com/r2d2 website. Plus, the image with the R2-D2 in the just looks cool.
