T-Mobile Samsung Vibrant unlockable for use with AT&T -- with 3G support

Samsung loaded the US carriers with the Galaxy S branded phones. T-Mobile has the Vibrant and AT&T has the Captivate, but what happens if you wanted it the other way. You know, the Vibrant on AT&T and the Captivate on T-Mobile. Well, you may just be in luck thanks to some of the super crafty users over on the xda developers forums.

According to the details, the unlock codes for both devices are stored on the phones themselves and they are (relatively) easy to access. That means you can unlock your AT&T branded Captivate and use it on T-Mobile or you can unlock your T-Mobile branded Vibrant and use it on AT&T. And just in case anyone was wondering, the Vibrant owners will be happier with this unlock.

It is being reported that once unlocked the Samsung Vibrant will not only work for voice and EDGE date with AT&T, but the 3G is also good to go. Sadly though, the Captivate will not take the T-Mobile 3G, but is still good for voice and EDGE data.
