Samsung Epic 4G

The Samsung Epic 4G is set to launch on Sprint in only four days and it will be available for $249.99 on a new two year contract. Third party retailers usually sell smartphones cheaper than the carrier and Amazon already has the Epic 4G available for pre-order for only $199.99, meaning you save $50. Even though the smartphone is eligible for free two day shipping, it will not begin to ship until August 31 and even then Amazon mentions “Due to demand for this device, you may experience a slight shipping delay.”

The Epic is Sprint’s latest Android smartphone and is their variant of the Galaxy S smartphone. Unlike the other Galaxy S smartphones (the Vibrant, Captivate, and Fascinate) it features a physical QWERTY slider keyboard, front facing camera, and 4G connectivity. It is the second Sprint device with access to its WiMAX network as the EVO 4G was the first phone.
