T-Mobile announced the availability of the upcoming BlackBerry Curve 3G smartphone through its personal Facebook account. While announcing a piece of information through Facebook isn’t as glamorous as a press release, it still gets the job done, and in a more efficient manner.
The new BlackBerry Curve 3G — running OS 5 — will be available September 8 for the inexpensive price of $80 on a two year agreement with T-Mobile USA. Even though the device ships with OS 5, it is important to note that it is OS 6 ready meaning RIM should update the device to the latest OS as soon as possible. Lastly, the device features a physical QWERTY keyboard, 2MP camera, optical trackpad, and microSD memory expansion.
