RIM avoids another shut down

Facebook RIM has avoided yet another shut down of its service, this time in India. The country, like Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, and the UAE, is demanding RIM give them the ability to monitor all user activities including email, texting, and IMing. RIM has apparently reached the same deal with India that it did with Saudi Arabia and will likely place a server in that country as well. India has defended its demands saying it is necessary for the government to monitor BlackBerry data to insure terrorists aren’t using the device to plot attacks.
