While the Galaxy Tab tablet has been officially announced, we are still waiting for two make or break details — the price and the release date. That said, Samsung must feel confident that they have a solid product on their hands because they have recently come forward making some bold statements.
“Mr. Yoon said Samsung expects to ship 10 million Galaxy Tabs and take a third of the global tablet market next year.”
10 million Tabs next year, but more interestingly is that they expect to have a third of the global market. Sounds like an impressive goal, but like anything else, time will tell just how accurate this will end up being. Of course, given the interest in the device as is stands and assuming the price is right, this could end up being the case. And we here at Gadgetell would be lying if we were to say that we were not interested.
But in the end, that 10 million unit sold mark may be helped by the fact that Samsung plans to make the Galaxy Tab a whole family of devices with possible options coming in the form of a 6 or 10 inch model.

With the price tag they revealed I am quite sure they'll reach that mark. That and the fact there seems to be a tablet mania right now.
