You don’t hear of many phone manufacturers coming from Russia. Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a phone from any Russian-based company. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t capable of making such a device.
In a recent video, Russian President Dmitri Medvedev and state technology official Sergei Chemezov have a little chat about the future of mobile for their country. Right in the middle, Chemezov busts out Russia’s first domestically made 4G phone. And to the surprise of myself and many of the viewers, there are two screens!
One screen on the front I guess you could say is nothing special? When you turn the phone the phone around and realize that there is a screen on the reverse, suddenly the quality of the front screen seems to take a backseat of attention. More interesting is that it looks as though it might be e-ink based, which could be one of the cooler concepts I have seen out of any phone manufacturer to date.
