Google rolling out Android 2.2.1 Build FRG83 for Nexus One users

It looks like being a Nexus One user has its privileges, which in this case comes in the form of the latest version of Android. Yup, Google is rewarding Nexus One owners with Android 2.2.1 Build FRG83 as you read this. Those with a Nexus One will get prompted to move forward with the update, however if you are feeling impatient you can download it here and install manually. Otherwise, so far the reports are so-so on this one. In particular we have read a few reports dealing with third party keyboards — namely Swype and Swiftkey. According to the details so far, Swype is not working and Swiftkey, while still running is not predicting words. That said, move forward at your own discretion.

    Swype works. It won't recognize your phone after the update, but if you completely uninstall and redownload/reinstall through the beta site it will work.
