According to the crew over at BGR, it looks like Apple has quietly made some changes to AppleCare. In the past, the protection plans were transferable to a new person, however the ability to transfer from device to device was limited to the iPhone. Well, in a little bit of good news for those with AppleCare — that ability to transfer to a new device is now open for all new Apple products. The only catch is that the new product must have been purchased within the past 30 days and that it “must be of the kind that can be covered by the agreement.” In other words, nothing overly surprising in that respect. Bottom line, if you are getting a new Apple product you can now rest assured in that your previous coverage can transfer over which really means one less thing to shell out money for.
