Many are skeptical of the Samsung Galaxy Tab’s ability to seriously compete with Apple’s iPad, but make no mistake, based on some released statistics, the Galaxy Tab is projected to reach one million total sales by the end of 2010. In fact, the Galaxy Tab has already sold 600,000 times worldwide, exhausting supplies of the device in several locations. In addition, in Korea (where Samsung is based) the Android tablet has already sold 30,000 times in just a week. I’m sure the fact that the Galaxy Tab being available on all four major carriers in the United States (with AT&T launching theirs today) certainly helps accumulate sales. Of course, the fact that it is launching so close to the holidays definitely plays a role in how many are being purchased, but 600,000 is still a great number for Samsung.
