It looks like we might be seeing a new Android smartphone arriving on the US mobile market soon. Well, that would depend on the outcome of the evaluation being conducted by both AT&T and T-Mobile on the new Acer Liquid Metal smartphone. A senior Acer official said that his company is now looking into the possibility of releasing this smartphone after it was deemed worthy to be released in Canada earlier.

Brighthand.com is reporting that the possibility of the Acer Liquid smartphone being released via AT&T or T-Mobile looks great since the device is well suited under the two mobile carriers. For your information, the Acer Liquid Android phone happens to be a GSM phone, and only AT&T and T-Mobile are the two GSM carriers in the U.S.

The question is, does the Acer Liquid smartphone have something that we should all be excited about? Well, that depends on your preferences. The Acer Liquid features an 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 3.6-inch WVGA touchscreen display in 800×480 resolution, 5MP camera, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It also boasts of an special app called Social Jogger. Said Acer smartphone also support DLNA/UPnP so you can easily link it up to your PCs, TVs and game consoles. It will be available in silver and brown colo design.
