While we all know that Facebook is not planning to roll-out an app for the iPad anytime soon there are still some good options available, one of which is called Friendly. Personally I have been using Friendly for a while, and I think I paid $2.99 for the app at one point. Well, the good news today is that there is now a free (ad-supported) version of Friendly available in the App Store. Of course, for those wishing to ditch the ads, there is also a second version available for $0.99. And for those wondering, Friendly is actually a rather nice way to use Facebook on the iPad. Some of the features include being able to swipe through Facebook photos at full screen, chatting with friends and being able to upload and download images. Still, the basics are there such as viewing and writing on walls. But there is also a few other perks including the ability to customize the colors as well as securing the app with a PIN code system and support for multiple accounts. If nothing else, the new free version is a nice way to download the app and make sure you like it before you commit to buying.
