Notion Ink Adam Tablet

Notion Ink has just given more details about its upcoming Android tablet which according to them is not just your ordinary tablet device but a more revolutionary kind. First and foremost, the Notion Ink Adam will start shipping on January 6, should you decide to place your orders now. The Notion Ink Adam Tablet will be running on Android 2.2 Froyo, although it’s upgradeable to Gingerbread or Honeycomb later on.

What else should we know about this device that is more than enough to get us all excited and possibly hit the pre-order button? Well of course – price! There are actually six variants of the Notion Ink Adam tablet, each of them having different prices and specifications. Here’s how the Notion Ink announcement explains each of these Adam Tablet variants:

Earlier we told you that the first version will start at $399. But now the LCD Wi-Fi version will start at $375.33 and 3G version at $425.33 (for limited period?). Transflective version (Pixel Qi) will start at $499.45 for Wi-Fi only and 3G variants at $549.99 (2 variants in 3G, 900 series and 850 series which takes the variant numbers to 6!).

Other details about the Notion Ink Adam Tablet include – Open GL, Open SL for better graphical visualizations for audio, SIP/VOIP implementations, multi-touch keyboards, better copy, cut and paste feature, and more.
