Is Verizon secretly registering iPhone related domain names?

The Verizon iPhone rumors seem to be at a point where they gave reached overload. The latest are suggesting that Verizon has begun secretly registering iPhone related domain names, such as iphoneonverizon.com. The details are coming by way of PocketNow, who have discovered the domain names which have been registered by a company calling themselves “Verizon Trademark Services LLC.” Another domain name in this group is iphoneforverizon.com. As of now these sites appear to be in the same state as they were when the previous owner had them. That said, while this seems a little skeptical, the company that has the domain appears to be the same that has the main domain — verizon.com. Bottom line, this could either be a rather nicely laid out hoax, or simple evidence that should have been hidden a little better.
